Parrish Museum Midsummer Party
The Parrish Museum's annual Midsummer Party hit Southampton on July 9th as work on their new Watermill compound designed by Herzog & de Meuron continues. The affair presented a chance to view Dorothea Rockburne's retrospective inside the 19th century Job's Lane building as well as imbibe inside the more generic party tent set up outside. The event featured a receiving line where co-chairs including Dorothy Lichtenstein and Etta Froio greeted the various artists, dealers, collectors, and others in attendance. Gallerists Mary Boone and Eric Brown were with their artists (Will Cotton and Jane Frelicher respectively), rubbing shoulders and hoping to inspire some of the invited art world litterati including Anthony Hayden Guest and Frederic Tuten.
